Re: wind noise

Hey, Steve:

I have a 97 GLX with the same problem that you explained, and it
started a while ago. I told the dealer about it and all they did was
tell me that I'm just hearing things, but they did apply a silicon type
of spray to the molding which I thought was just a cheap way for
them to get out of the problem. It made a greasy mess that they
didn't clean up, and had absolutely no effect on the problem. I did
notice that it progressively got worse, but it came on really fast, and
sometimes when I go over a speedbump at the right angle you can
hear the door shift a little.>***The only thing that I can think of that made
it start was when I had my windows tinted, and the installer's when
installing had the doors wide open, and the force they used against
the doors (outward) when they squeegeed (forced) the water out
from under the film. ***< I really sat and thought long and hard and
could not come up with any other way or idea that could have caused
it to start making more wind noise. The dealer told me that there is
no way that they can tighten the doors, or do anything that could bring
the door to shut tighter. Anyway, I would like to hear from someone
that may have experienced the same problem, but was able to
correct it.
