Re: wind noise and rattles

There is a way to make the door shut tighter, and it is not too difficult to do.
Open the door and look at the latch that is attached to the body that the door
hooks on to. It is secured by two torx bolts(not sure what size). When these
are loosened, the latch can be moved forward or backward, even up and down... in
other words, it has some play. If you loosen the two bolts slightly, and tap
lightly on the latch with a hammer, you should be able to move the latch in just
enough to keep it from moving, it doesn't take much. If the molding on the
outside of the door doesn't match up anymore, then you moved the latch too far
back. This may help tp eliminate alot of the wind noise, too.

Also, check all of the door latches to make sure they are still tight. You
should check the bolts on the side of the dash also, as well as the screws in the
a/c vents. By tightening all the screws and bolts you can find, you will have
helped your chances of eliminating alot of squeaks and rattles.
