Re: Trade in value of GLX

Trade in at $12k is probably quite optimistic unless the car has really low miles. It
also depends on the car market in your area. I was offered $7k and $8k at two seperate
dealers in the Boston area. I got a higher trade in on my 93 Golf GL when I traded it in
for the Jetta GLX in 95. Needless to say, I wasn't going to take either of these figures.
I came up with around $9800 from Kelly's Blue book for my trade in value, which I would
probably have taken if the dealer also came up with that.
