RE: new GLX paint problems

Yeah, the warranty had me worried as Chris mentioned, so I called the
VW 800 number from the website and was told the warranty would 
go from 2 year 24k miles, to 1 year 12k miles.  Of course the dealer 
says "nope, it's not a problem you've created on the car"... Called VW
back and they said that the first person was misinformed, that this
would fall under the replacement parts part of the 2/24 warranty
and thus would be covered for an ADDITIONAL 1/12, so effectively
on the area painted the warranty would be 3/36.

The saga continues...  I think tomorrow when they start the work
(wet sanding and then painting if neccessary) I'm just going to
have to stand my ground and see what happens.  If it comes out
of buffing and such looking just fine I think I'll be satisfied, if they
tell me their going to have to paint it I'll have to figure out what to
do then.

How annoying.
