The roadmap to success in the NBA

I heard on ESPN yesterday that one of the Maloof brothers is going out with 
Britney Spears. Now I understand.

The Cuban/Maloof receipe to success in the NBA:

1) Become known as a hands-on owner and television friendly.
2) Raise ticket prices to solidify finances and venture capital.
3) Wear promotional gear and pomote team as often as possible.
4) Install motion, uptempo offense to satisfy/excite fans.
5) Spend mid-year exception money every year to garner additional talent.
6) Attain additional role players who want to part of something big happening.
7) Become earmarked as playing the game the way the commissioner wants the 
league to play.
8) Become an elite team.
9) Get the girl.

The new owners have already done 1 through 3.  We have heard the Cuban has 
e-mailed to the new owners a welcome to the new breed owners fraternity. 
Ainge was hired to get us to number 8, has been authorized for number 5 and 
has said he prefers number 4. Exciting times!...
