Re: Misdirected E-mail #2/Take a deep breath all

The word adversarial is not even in the piece which you used. My problem
with you has nothing to do with basketball talk. It is that you refuse to
        keep it to that. >>CECIL

Cecil, the word ADVERSARIAL was used in the comment that I responded to, which is
YOURS, as follows:

I guess it is obvious that Joe H's post asking Lance to stop with the
personal digs was a wasted effort. I just don't see the need for mixing
basketball with snide remarks like this.

Does anyone out there, other than Ryan Lee, like this kind of adversarial
            stuff?>> Cecil

Sorry if it bothers you, but Tammo calling Pierce a guy who gets teammates involved is
ridiculous, and then she asserts that he gets criticized for it.

Come on Cecil. You know better than that. For all PP's skills, passing, or
willingness to pass is not one of them. Or is there another way that he gets them
involved, perhaps as he yelled to Andre Miller from the bench not to dribble so much?
This is the inspiring support that he's giving to the team and that Andre, along with
us Celtic fans should be grateful for?

Yeah, it's adversarial. When Tammo writes that Kenny was disruptive to the team and a
negative force during his tenure, it's a cheap shot at a player whose every on-court
action was pro-team. I challenge her to find examples that contradict team play. She
fuels this fire by pointing out that Paul gets criticized for his aggressiveness, as
well as his "team play", which I take to mean standing still at the arc.

Besides whining about not getting the ball in the Philly series, how about the fact
that PP was standing around so much in the playoffs that Twan had to swear at him to
get in the game, even though he was on the court? Twan didn't ask him to score, he
told Pierce that he needed to get aggressive to force the opponent to cover him.
Pretty basic stuff, and an embarrassment that a co-captain has to be woken up by a
teammate.

But, it's just the posters who critique Mr. Pierce. Add O'Brien, George Karl, and
this week, Peter May. It's not just me, Cecil, but the emperor has no clothes and
I've got 20-20 vision.
