What About Trading Baker For Sprewell?

Baker for Sprewell, a deal that works salary cap wise, and in other ways
of
solving both teams' troubles, as the Knicks need a departure from
Sprewell and a replacement for McDyess, and the Celtics need to get out
of Baker's
exhorbitant contract, a situation nicely remedied by Sprewell, only
having two years
left on his deal. Then, there's the added bonus of an infusion of a
great defensive talent
onto the Celtics starting lineup. Certainly Sprewell is a vast
improvement over Eric
Williams, and would help the weakened team defense.

As for Mr. Baker, I don't equate much of his recent flounderings to him.
He seems
to have come into camp in shape and at the recommended playing weight.
The biggest
culprit here is one Jim O'Simpleton, who's treating a high maintenace
type like Baker
in the same class as Walter McCarty. O'Rotten has Baker playing out of
position, and in
the wrong position away from the hoop. Obie Wrong Keboobi has Baker
coming off the
bench, and hasn't designed any plays for him. Bakes may have sinned in
the past, but
the present transgressions are O'Batty's alone.
