Will The Celtics Trade For Travis Best?

Here's all you need to know:

- Pat Riley has officially announced that Miami is in a rebuilding mode.

- Riley never does things half-assed, so if they are rebuilding, he's
likely to blow up the team.

- Look for Miami's attractive veterans to become available, to speed up
the rebuilding process, by adding draft picks, young talent, and cap
space.

- Those attractive veterans are Brian Grant, Eddie Jones, and Travis
Best,
who becomes eligible to be traded in December.

- Not that the Celtics need a PG any ways, what with the signing of Max
Gail,
adding yet another sweet outside shooting big man. All you really need
with this
team is someone to lob the ball to all the big men standing behind the
three-point
line and let them fire away.

- But should Wallace and the Life of O'Brien decide a decent PG is
needed,
I can see where a Travis Best would be smack dab right in the middle of
their sights.
They had interest in him, he had interest in them, he's available, his
contract is
tax friendly, you can get him for a reasonable price, etc. Personallly,
I rather they deal
for a dominant point guard, but that's not how the Shawmut Celtics
management operates.
