Re: Walker/Garnett?

I give Antoine credit for evolving into a fierce competitor and team leader.
He hasn't always been either of those things. He's fearless. There's a lot
to like and a lot to dislike. That's just Antoine. How you feel about him is
all a matter of perspective.>>Mark Berry

You've summed up Antoine and his effect on us over the years perfectly, Mark. Now
here's the question:

Don't you see the improvement in Twan's attitude, his shot selection, his passing, his
ability to avoid the double teams on the block, the overall conditioning and the
ability to inspire his teammates as the TREND we've been waiting for? I'm happiest
about his turnaround last year to allow Pierce the spotlight and to continue to work
hard in the trenches and to do the little things that help a team win.

Wasn't always the case, was it? We saw talent, but arrogance. Effort, but disdain
for the refs. Intensity, but unwillingness to battle.

Sorry, but I LIKE this Walker much more than the rookie or First Year Captain. He's
gotten better, sure, but most of all he's gotten rid of so many of those attributes
that made me groan. He's smart, he cares, he leads. And I like where he's taking the
team.
