I think its important to have someone who can at least dribble and shoot and
penetrate. You also need to be able to stop (or slow) the dribble
penetration.

Even if Walker's starts the offense and runs the sets its good to have
someone who can handle the pressure, and take the strain off Walker from
bringing the ball up. Penetration is important because it breaks down the
defense and leads to easy scores. Stopping the penetration is also
important...because we don't want our defense broken down and abused.

I realize I am outside the norm of this view..but I don't think Walker is a
great ball handler just good. He is a solid passer though....but not great
there either.

KG and CWebb handle the ball as well at the power forward position and they
are taller. CWebb is a better passer though. Walker's assist to turnover
ratio is exactly point guardish, you know.

Kenny helped the Celtics alot last year... We need someone with a good handle
who can shoot and penetrate I haven't seen S. Williams play, and he might
fit the bill. Delk and Strickland were both awful ball handlers though, and
thats why OB always wanted to play them at the two guard spot.

Strickland could at least penetrate though..
Can Delk or Williams do this? ..I don't know. J.R. Bremer maybe...but does he
have a good handle?

I think the Celts are look for someone with Kenny Anderson like ball handling
and penetrating, along with the ability to hit the three, and yet play some
defense.

The only thing Walker saves you from is needing a great passing point guard
who creates the offense. The position is still important, but we don't need a
classic point guard..hence we are dumping Omar Cook.

Someone in the Gary Payton/KA/Tiny Archibald mold would suit us well....There
are some decent guys like this still unsigned. So there is hope.
