I have to say that I enjoyed the honest discussion. We both took our
rhetorical best shots and remain standing
and sticking to our respective guns. I will say this. I am a fan of the
truth, and I'm a student of history who knows of many
heroes who finally were revealed to have feet of clay. Kestas's arguments mean
to me that at least the case is not closed. Sometimes history has a way of
uncovering layers of truth which shatter commonly held conventional wisdom.
I've been researching the phony baloney Warren Comission stuff for years as
an example. Harry Truman once said, " The only thing new is the history you
don't know . " I've been wrong before. I'll keep my eyes and ears open.
Kestas hit closest to home when he said (about the Selling of the Green) that
I wouldn't believe it anyway. Well ,I don't have any sacred cows, but my
lifelong love of the Celtics means that the evidence has to go "beyond a
reasonable doubt". I must say that Kestas would probably have to confront me
with a picture of Red in a white robe and pointy-headed white hood before I
conceded my argument was specious.

It has been a long off-season. Hope springs eternal!
