Trade Walker Before Pierce (Was Re: Pitino Looking To Trade For A Point Guard)

Alas poor Herren, we knew him not so well.

I have to extend Thomas Murphy's beliefs on Walker/Pierce.
The first rule of NBA general-managering in the realm of the
salary cap, is when you have two players of equal talent,
you always try to deal the one with the bigger contract.
So, Walker should definitely go before Pierce.

And I'll take my chances with the C's having cap space
and a better GM in the future.

In fact, for those who argue against the C's viability to
do anything with cap space, if they should ever generate
any, I would point out, that if the C's had cap space over
the past summer, Mercer or Mark Jackson would have been
Celtics, maybe both, in a best case scenario. Then again, it
could have been Austin Croshere and Abdul-Wahad.

So, cap space me so, but grant it unto a Larry Bird type
GM with an ability to evaluate pro talent.

Please people forget about Lamar Odom. The Clippers
aren't dealing him. Olowokandi is there for the taking.

I'd trade Walker for Bibby and other things, but the Grizzlies
would need to receive a decent point guard in return,
so that leaves out the C's, unless you involve a third team.

Las Vegas is the place Pitino ought to be, so he packed up the
truck and move to UNLV, Casino's it is, sports betting, golf
courses in desert oasises....

Ever hear Bob Ryan discussing Pitino and C's on the radio?
He's great. Good insights.

Here's an Antoine trade that cap works and seems rational,
if Vancouver wants to really change things:

Walker and Moiso for Shareef.
