Celtics Update - Trades and Such

- On the trade front: It's not Kenny Anderson -- Pitino was
cryptically referring to in his comments about
the Fortson deal, point guard depth, and the possibility
of a PG trade -- but Robert Pack.

As the Herald's Mark Cofman states:

"Translated, the Celtics' roster is still a work in progress and Pack,
as a proven player entering the final year of his contract, would
represent an attractive bargaining chip."

So, Ice Pack not Kenny is the point guard there for the trading.
Makes some sense, especially if they can keep the guy healthy
and ship him off to a playoff team before the trading deadline.
Then, he might fetch the C's another late first round pick, or
perhaps a young player. But the key thing to receiving any value
for him, will be to keep him healthy.

- The Celtics had Mark Bartelstein client Chris Robinson
in for a tryout as they're looking for a shooter to fill the
15th -- injured reserve -- roster spot.

In case you're wondering who Chris Robinson
is? He's a 6-5 shooting guard from Western Kentucky, who was
formerly a member of the Kings and Grizzlies and shot a sterling
.376 from the field and accounted for 0.98 points per game.

In case you're wondering who Mark Bartelstein is? He's the agent
for John Williams who says, bad back and all, his client isn't
retiring. So, it looks like the C's will just waive him, as Pitino
is quoted as saying: "'He's not going to be playing.'"
