Everybody is entitled to an opinion and I happen to strongly disagree with
you on this one.As far as the above deals I must thank the lord that you
aren't the C's GM!!! The main thing is that the deadline is over and done
with so the above ain't going to happen anyway. I am certainly no expert at
talent evaluation but I watch more hoops than any normal human being should
be allowed and I know who I like. My liking or not liking a player isn't
scientific or stat specific. I mean a player that scores, rebounds and
hands out assists above the norm is taken very much into consideration but
attitude , demeanor and other intangibles will carry more weight in my
final decision on a player becoming a fave to me. I live in AZ and watch
the left coast games with great regularity and have seen all the Clips
games but 3 and I gotta tell you I am not as impressed with the majority of
the players listed above. My favorite is Taylor but his play has tailed off
the last 8-9 games that I watched and if I were the GM would not give up
Mercer for him straight up. In fact i wouldn't trade Mercer unless someone
made us such an obscenely one sided (In our Favor) deal that I couldn't
afford to ignore. As far as Rogers goes IMO he is as good as he is going to
get and therefore of no use to us for anyone of value from our current
lineup. I think the nucleus is pretty good and the addition of VP is only
going to add to the mix and should be afforded the opportunity to grow as a
unit before any more moves are attempted. I also think KA will settle down
and help round the team out and hopefully last nights effort is the start
of his resurgence at the point.. I really see alot of potential in Battie
as he has improved game to game and an off season of bulking up with the
Celts trainer and staff will only make him an invaluable cog to our Team. I
must admit Bowen's play of late has me puzzled as I love his D and overall
tenacity but he has looked just awful. Oh well sorry to prattle on!! Just
my thoughts and YMMV!! Later.Mike
