This is an interesting idea. But if the Warriors complete this
Delk/Spoon/Spencer deal for Barry/Mills/Causewell, they will have lost their
only semi-legitimate backup center (that shows you how pathetic the Warriors
are!). They will be overloaded at the 3 with Donyell Marshall and Antawn
Jamison (who is really too small to play the 4). If Jason Caffey doesn't
re-up, they will have only Mills and Adonal Foyle at the 4. (Sheesh!) So, I
don't see them dealing their solid young center for another wing player, at
least not yet. If Dampier makes it clear later in the season that he's going
to sign with someone else, they might trade him, but I would think they'd have
teams lining up for his services.

How about Pierce for Dampier? Golden State is such a mess who knows if they
can or think they can keep Dampier at season's end. We won't be able to fit
him under the cap then but we could do it now. At least he is more proven than
Potapenko.
