Re: Post doctor

Please let me preface this with....I am not of the anti-Antoine group. I'm
just telling it like I see it and I do see every game except Sunday's of
course.

AW didn't, doesn't generally, play great defense. This season he has
changed his game noticeably. He does not agressively try for the
rebounds....they generally fall his way because he's the last one standing
there or because he's the tallest. Getting 10 a game that way is not that
difficult. Put him up against a good or great rebounder and he either
doesn't try or has a bad statistical game. He has stopped putting the ball
on the floor and trying to beat his generally slower forward opponent off
the dribble. As much as those moves make me nutty from time to time, that
WAS his signature move.

The Celtics don't have a strong, strong as in strength, front line and AW
is part of the problem at the moment. If it's up to him and the center to
rebound for the most part, then he's not really doing his job. He doesn't
box out. On defense, if he gets beat, he immediately looks for a teammate
to "blame" (give them a look that says, "where were you?").

There was a telling quote in the Globe today: AW: "Kenny is the type of
point guard that is going to make me into a great player."

He's either...
1. Regurgitating Pitino-speak
2. Self-centered, not thinking of the team
3. Forgot he's already a "veteran all-star"
