Re: Post doctor
Joe,
Maxwell's the one that came to mind for me. He had a knack of making
sneaky inside moves against bigger defenders. It's the type of game
that Antoine should be trying to emulate. Do you know if Max has ever
done any coaching? I doubt he's the type to want to coach, plus he's
pretty comfortable in his radio gig. If he's not available, just sit
Antoine down in front of some of his tapes. I'm sure he's getting sick
of the taste of leather.
Also, I'd like to second your thoughts about Pierce. Please don't try
to turn this guy into a guard. If anything they should be trying to use
him in the post against some of the smaller forwards around. Hell, if
other teams can post up their point guards, why not?

>Again back to Josh and Jimbo's posts, I fully agree that the Celtics
need a "post doctor" more than a free throw "shot doctor". All our post
moves look lightning quick in execution compared to a Mailman or McHale,
but these whirling dervish spin moves frankly look clumsy and a waste of
foot speed. I'm sure McHale and Maxwell are watching this stuff and
thinking "geez, I could teach these guys a thing or two."
