Good call, Josh. (I'm glad to see you and other familiar Celt-list
posters back in force after an off-season hiatus)

Your post made me think of old Nellie, who gave away next year's 1st
rounder to Danny Ainge and the Suns in the Steve Nash deal. Dallas
surely has a habit of being careless with lottery picks (that's why we
poached Antoine Walker and Ron Mercer for the immortal Eric Montross).
Now they've drafted Dirk Nowitzki and Bruno Sundov - two guys coveted by
the Celts who are likely to sit out one year to earn some serious
euro-currency - thereby handing the Suns a good chance at another
unprotected Dallas lotto pick in 1999.

Still, I think Nellie has an attractive and balanced young team:

Mike Finley
Nowitzki
Bradley
Nash
K.Reeves
With rookie Ansu Sesay, Chris Anstey, Hu Davis, Sundov, AC Green and
Cedric Ceballos on the bench.

I think Dallas might join Boston, Cleveland, Milwaukee and the Nets
(inter alia) among young teams on the rise. Orlando still seems intent
on trading Keon Clark, and I hope he comes to Boston. He's certainly
cheaper than McDyess or Eldon Cambell, the two guys everyone compares
him to.

Raise high the rafter beams, carpenter.
