I think what Charles was saying was that the NET result of the Denver and
NY Knicks trades was as above. That's why he said "essentially".

I don't think anyone thought or claimed that NY only got 2 second rounders.
Since we got cap room & 2nd round picks for Williams, used the cap room to
sign Edney & Mills, traded Mills & 2nd round picks for McCarty, Jones, and
Thomas, the net result is exactly as Charles so aptly described above: Williams
for McCarty, Jones, Thomas, Edney & change in quality of 2nd round picks.

A "celery cap" is a funny image. Is there a cap on the amount of celery
that a team can consume, and Williams ate a lot? :-) Just kidding.
Maybe they make caps to wear out of celery, and Williams' cap of celery was
too small, so they had to get a smaller person to fit his cap of celery. :-)

Since the original post in this thread by Alex Wang mentioned:

I thought I'd add that since Pitino & the strength coach were the ones
who got McCarty in shape in college, after the strength coach described how
he lost the weight the year with the Knicks, Rick Pitino said:
"How dare they do that to our baby!" :-)
Pitino seems to always make one really funny comment per show.
