The Sporting News
Here is the beginning of an article in TSN by "expert" D'Alessandro. He
really ravages Pitino. He does bring up a legitimate point. How can
anyone feel secure in Pitino's system? Rookies I think are particularly
susceptible to worrying about always being on the bubble.
I keep hearing that KA is injury prone. Anyone know his history of injuries?
I made this point several days ago, and I'll make it again... With the $$
they will have to offer Walker, and the $$ they will have to offer Mercer
(who is BRILLIANT), I think the braintrust decided they needed to lock up a
respectable point guard who already had a long term contract. I agree with
that move, if indeed it was the move. The other encouragement to me about
this trade, is that I see Pitino wanting to raise the level of the C's
quickly, within a year or two. With Billups, who I liked and still believe
can play point in the NBA, they were looking for a 4-5 year wait while their
point guard matured.
