If it turns out that Philly passes on Battie, do we take him?  Don Leventhal
reports a beautiful shooting touch to go along with all that shotblocking and
rebounding, but I don't know if he has all-star potential like Mercer.  If we
do take Battie, I think we need a proven scorer at six, which would be Van
Horn if he's available, or Antonio Daniels if he isn't.  (Mercer and Billups
will surely be gone).  I could also live with trading down to Toronto for
McGrady, which might help free up some cap room to sign Rick Fox with.   I
like the idea of going big/little, but Battie/Van Horn would be awesome. I
truly never thought Keith would fall to six; he may not.  But if he doesn't,
there is an first rate guard available there too.  Again -- how much does
Patino like Battie?  How much does he like Mercer?  He knows more about ron
than anybody, but there doesn't seem to be denying that the guy has all-star
two guard potential.  He's said he will be a "fine two guard" already...who
knows?  Keep the picks, though Rick.  Or at least one of them.
