I'm A Boy! She's Just A Girl!

Well, I guess we're talking about us "internet" fans, right? If that's
the case, then I guess Jo's statement is basically true.

Most, if not all, flame wars are started by "the guys." I mean, the gals
may get involved, but it seems that the real "nasties" are all men.

But then again, I'm reminded of Keets, a woman, who seemed to rub a lot
of people, men *and* women, the wrong way. She wasn't mean or nasty,
or anything like that - some people just seemed to get annoyed with her
style of posting. One wouldn't say *she* was easy to get along with
(although I didn't find it too difficult).

And, Jo, you've had your share of statements/opinions which have pissed
people off. Does that mean *you're* difficult to get along with?

I don't want this to devolve into a bitching session, but the difference
between men Who-freaks & women Who-freaks is interesting.

I think we'd all agree that The Who is mainly a bloke's band, right?
The majority of their fans are male.

But then there are "first class tickets" such as Trish over on the Relayers
list, & Jacqueline, too, who are much more devoted to the band than most
of the men. They're monster Who freaks!

But are the women easier to "get along with?" My gut reaction, as I stated
at the beginning, is yes, they are. But maybe the lower *percentage* of
female fans has to be taken into account. Perhaps there just aren't enough
female fans to *not* get along with!

What do some of you other people think? Are the female Who fans easier to
get along with? Is it mostly the men who start trouble? Are the female
hardcore Who freaks *more* hardcore than the male hardcore Who freaks?
What are some of the differences between male & female Who fans (besides
the obvious!)?
