For some reason, they don't really stroke me. They sound a lot like Iggy
Pop, but not as dynamic. Iggy Lite. Granted I've only heard the one CD and
watched the Saturday Night Live appearance. If that was an accurate example
of their live show, they'd be embarrassed by The Who. Not good for their
career.
All I can tell you is BRMC would be more interesting to me. As I said, this
is MY personal fantasy choice.

Keets:

I'm sure you can understand why this isn't much of a motivation with the
largely male audience at a Who concert.

They did in Atlanta. But I'll grant you, not as much as Joan Osbourne in
NYC.

And in the meantime, everything Queen did after Opera blows too. Radio
Ga-Ga? Fat Bottom Girls? We Will Rock You? Flash? Another One Bites The
Dust?
Garbage. Crap.

Jeff:

And Drivin' N Cryin' wasn't too American???

I'd also have to question you on the Strokes "hip" factor. They are popular,
yes, but then so is Britney who is FAR from hip.
