"I told you not to mention Marvin Gaye!"; Rare (Medium and Well-Done) Who; Take this message & here's what you do

Just listening to the Who's live take on "Baby Don't You Do It", and
wanted to mention that I'm always amazed at the difference between this
version and the Band's equally great live take. Wonder what the
original sounds like. <g>

Secondly, I've compiled a little list of Who songs that are currently
unavailable on CD. Please let me know if I've missed any. In rough
chronological order....

Bald Headed Woman, Instant Party (both takes), Heat Wave (original),
Shout And Shimmy, Anytime You Want Me, Lubie (Come Back Home), Motoring,
Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde, Mary Anne With The Shaky Hands (version 3),
Here For More, When I Was A Boy, Wasp Man, My Wife (live '71), Bargain
(live '72), Goin' Down (live '72), and Baby Don't You Do It (live '72).
Most of these are from WHO'S MISSING and TWO'S MISSING. Plus, of
course, most of MY GENERATION, WHO'S LAST (gag) and that medley from THE
KIDS ARE ALRIGHT. Have I left out anything? If so, please post here &
let me know.

Finally, if you're a member on the chat boards of petetownshend.com,
please pass along these two messages to Matt & Pete since I cannot.

1. What's happening with the BBC disc, anyway? Feb. 15th or not?

2. I'm rather unhappy with the continued closing of the boards on this
website. I realize there was some trouble with unruly members; however,
all I would like to do is occasionally post a question like the above,
and now I find that I cannot even look at posted messages. What
happened to "Communicate, communicate"? Please, give folks a chance
again, because I would like to tell Pete thanks for all the great work
he's given us over the years, and maybe ask him a few things about it.
Thank you and please let me know when the boards will open up.
