[O'Neal, Kevin W.] I don't think God himself even knows (no I'm not
talking about Pete).

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] OK, what is the thinking out there?? If the
show starts at 7:30, how the hell are you gonna fit two shows into the time
remaining???? If Page/Crows play....let's say...2hours, that brings us to
9:30. Factor in an intermission, and you're looking at 10:00 before The Who
hit the stage (ok 9:30 if Page only plays for 1 1/2 hours). This to me
clearly means that The Who's set will be considerably shorter at MSG then
the 2 1/2 - 3/4 hour sets we saw on the first leg.
I'm still hoping for a show on 10/9, but not if The Who's set is
sacrificed for Page/Crows. Hmmmmmmm. Ponder, ponder.......

Is *that* an acceptable signature?????? ;-)

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] First and foremost, they are virtuoso's at their
instruments. Pete is clearly the greatest rhythm guitarist in history, and
as of late his solo work is astounding. Keith was a master. John *is* (and
was) a master. And good 'ol Rog's voice just screams youth rebellion and
rock 'n roll. Even though Rog is the originator of the bare chest sex
appeal thing, he never went the rout of "we are sexy", "squeeze my lemon" ,
etc. If he had, I may not be the who fan I am today. It's called
confidence. If you have it, you don't need to talk about it.
Secondly, Pete didn't want the music to get stagnant, and had the
guts to move on. In a recent article (I think it was Guitar Player) he
poked a bit of fun (but was serious) at the guitarist for AC/DC for still
wearing those same silly shorts. He gets into the stagnant vs. move on
concept.
Pete's writing is really what launched The Who to where they are
now.
	Mix it all together.........................sheer magic.

years later.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Getting into it a few years down the road, I was
psyched to absorb all I could get my hands onto. The album made sense to me
alone. Hell, I was living Quad.. The movie gave me visuals to associate
with the music, and made some of the Mod vs. Rocker (English history) stuff
clearer. I believe this is what Pete was talking about on the Quad 96 and
97 tours when he would say the he was glad we (US citizen's) finally
understood what Quad was talking about.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Is it information overload?? There *is* so much
talk, yet no end product yet. Imagine for a moment the impact it all would
have had *if* it were completed and released back "in the day" as Pete first
planned. Oh my god, it would have been HUGE !!!!! I think it can still be
big, but more in a historical way with "connection" (Unity) between today
and the past.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Yeah, I read that too, but don't buy it for a
moment. This is a greatest hits tour with some oldies but goodie's thrown
in.
Lifehouse needs to be toured like Quad in 96 & 97, *after* the rock
opera performed by The Who is released. If it happens after a film, fine.
The problem here is if they *do* tour Lifehouse.............the critics (and
some public) will label it as just another greatest hits or reunion tour.

[O'Neal, Kevin W.] Thanks Keets for your elaboration's. I need to
do some more reading, and maybe listen to the end of the play again. Did I
fall asleep and miss the ending????
