Unplugged

I just think the who stuff in the last six years really hasn't showcased Townshend's playing, more his music,
and the acoustic stuff was always close with him throughout the years, so I think in his case it would be
perennially a good idea, regardless of his other activities. It might make his newer stuff more palatable
as well, being a bit more intimate and focused and all, since right now for me IMHO it's not very palatable

And in the Case of Zep, if fathead didn't spend his time taking drugs and
feeling sorry for himself and growing his head ever fatter, he would have been much much much more
popular that Clapton has made himself, as he has 100,000X more talent than Clapton. So at least
going on the road in his cranial-dimensionally challenged state will bring some better guitar talent
to the heathen masses - if he practices more, at least. Everytime they drag his morphine addled
corpse out to play, he sounds like his fingers are broken. But if he plays show after show, he
could probably get back in shape. I will see them in May and send back a report to the interested.
Reports from the early shows are excellent indeed. Plant's voice will probably not hold up under the
pressure, as his maximum note has dropped several octaves over the years, as has Rogers.

I realize that Tommy is popular as a Broadway show, and perhaps rightfully so, but Pete, don't give
up your day job if you plan to do theatre forever. Maybe Lifehouse as a basis for a new one
would be neat, but I think it was beginner's luck on the theater stuff.

I am deeply appreciative of Townshend going in and cleaning up the early stuff. LAL is an excellent
first effort, and I will continue to refresh my collection as the stuff comes up.
I have not heard a peep about My Generation. It was in general a pretty well recorded album, though
it is obvious it came from several sessions/sources, and could stand a little consistency-izing to
get all the songs to kinda sound like they came from the same decade recording-wise. I don't see
the need to remaster anything past Quadrophenia, as the recording quality was pretty much up to snuff
and like somebody said on this net most of what was recorded was used.
