He will improve. He will mature.

Well, I'm sick of this. Some people want to use Antoine's age as an
excuse for any deficiencies he might have. We are told not to worry
about all sorts of things because he is only 21 years old. Well, if
that is the case, he has no business asking for a contract which will
place the future of the franchise on his shoulders alone for many years
to come. If he's not mature enough to handle it now, let him sign a
smaller deal for a few years until he is mature enough. As you say,
HE's 21 YEARS OLD. He's got 12-15 more years to earn a living. On the
other hand, if he is ready, if he is mature enough to take his game to
another level NOW, then let him demand the money. Paying players on
promise and potential is the entire problem at work here. Antoine is a
very good player who will be paid a very large amount of money. He has
not yet proven that he can be the player that takes the Celtics to
future championships. Perhaps he's not mature enough to understand that
that is what is expected of him around here.
