I agree big time with this suggestion.  $3000 is a fire-sale price for that
car, & I would almost assume that there is something wrong.  Of course, at
that price, you'll still come out ahead even if the engine blows into a
million pieces the day you drive it home; so it would be hard to go wrong.
I would only have reservations if a title search showed that it had flood
damage, or it had been totaled.
