Drop $50-$150 to have a mechanic look at it (check the title on the web for
$15 as well). The price seems low enough to me to make me a little
suspicious (~1/2 of trade-in value).

needs a clutch.  Is $3000 a good price?  How much does a new clutch cost?  I
