Marc-
I can't comment in relation to any other suspension than stock, as I
have not driven any of them.
I have the Bilstein HD's with NeuSpeed SofSport springs. The ride is
more controlled that stock, and the "bouncy airy" feeling of stock is
gone. It's not SPORT hard, but it's not stock soft either. The
primary complaint I have with the suspension at this time is
significant body roll when taking corners really aggressively, but
that is probably due to the fact that I have no sway bars on my car.
All in all, the ride is much sportier, but not harshly so, although
my girlfriend would probably disagree-- then again, she prefers her
2000 GLS 2.0L automatic to my 1997 GLX manual...
So, depends on your viewpoint if my setup would be too harsh for you.
The springs are marketed as the kind of springs you buy if you don't
want to drop your car that much and if you want to keep a relatively
comfortable ride. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably get H&R
springs from the local H&R factory just up I-5 from me.
