Mintex Redbox pads are great for even hard, street driving. They have lower
dust than stock (very little dust) and perform (perhaps only slightly)
better than the stock pads. I use them myself (don't have experience with
others) and I'm very pleased so far. The money it has saved me in wheel
cleaners was worth the price. :)

Often, mechanics will give you an estimate of how much life you have left
in your pads (30% -- time to change, 50% you can go another 5000 miles,
etc.). But I wouldn't wait until then to order a set of Redbox pads. If you
want to save a few bucks you can just order the front pads, as they take
care of most of your stopping force, and are the most significant
contributor to brake dust.
