replacing head unit.

I was looking into buying a new receiver to connect to my bose system.
I own a 97 glx with the panasonic head unit.  I also own the 8 disc
panasonic changer that works with the head unit.  I know the head unit
isn't the best, and I am looking to replace it with panasonic's
CQ-FX35.  Would I need another amp to use this new head unit? I'm not
very good when it comes to talking in ohms and that stuff, so could
someone give me an answer in simple terms.
