It would take an extreme over rev to do damage to the engine, however, by
reving to 7300 rpm with stock valve springs, you do  run the risk of binding
out the inner spring, not to mention there is absolutley no usable power,
unless you are cammed with at least a 268.

You need to get over the fear of the 5500 RPM mark to really take advantage
of the VR6, I mean heck, peak hp is achieved at 5800.  Try shifting at 6200,
then you will go really fast.
