I replaced mine with 20' Bosch .  They work fine, I also picked up some
Rain-X and Anti-Fog Rain-X.  Just a note- On the box of Anti-Fog it says:
IMPORTANT: DO NOT APPLY TO THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR VEHICLE. How stupid do they
think we are that they have to tell us to put anti-fog on the inside of the
windshield?  Does applying it to the outside cause fog?  Does it react with
the atmosphere and change the weather surrounding your vehicle, thus
creating a environmental disaster?  
Sorry, just had to get that off my chest, I feel much better now.

I just replaced my Bosch.  My car isn't a '98 but considering the jetta
hardly
changed, look at the ones that are on there already. If the driver's side is
longer than the passenger side then they are probably the same as on mine:
