The amp and box is connected through the back speakers. The wires were
connected and run to the amp.

im wondering same thing, i have the bose system and i heard a rumor that if
you replace the head unit you have to bypass that bvose amp, any truth to
this, and if so has anyone done it and might the head unit with hi power
(40-45w x 4 or s0) help out ayway
