Changing the coolant periodically is good practice to preserve your engine.
However, your statement 'remove particulates/dirt/blowby deposits from the
coolant'. I don't think you mean blowby in the coolant unless your 
referring to the oil. If you ever do get blowby in your coolant you've got 
a lot more to worry about than the coolant, you will probably likely have 
a blown head gasket and/or warp head due to over heating.
