Re: Motor mount

Hey thanx
I have found a Turn2 motor mount on
http://www.parts4vws.com/a3.asp
I ordered one already and can't wait to install it and see the difference.
Thanx again.

LOL, even though I am offended by your motor mount question, here are some
thoughts <g>:

The aftermarket motor mounts do a lot to help lessen engine movement. The
stock VW motor mounts flake after short period of time (just like their
suspension components) and you will actually feel the engine rock back and
forth. Now a little movement is ok, but with my car, the
acceleration/deceleration process is marked by a marked shifting of the
engine. It also makes the cable shifter feel even more sloppy.

I haven't seen Jason Whipple's (Turn2) replacement donut but have heard good
things about it. I am leaning towards a replacement front motor made by
Vibra-Technics. For more technical details, here is a link:

Hope this answers your question!
