Willie-

If you're 6'6", then you might not want a Jetta GLX. I'm 6'2", and my Jetta
slightly cramps my style. First, there is no headroom. My hair always
touches the ceiling. I think I've adapted by driving with my head -in- the
moonroof. Driving with the moonroof cover closed is simply out of the
question.

Also, my seat is adjusted to be in the second farthest position. You'll
clearly need it to be in the farthest position. And at that stage, the seat
behind you is unusable for everyone but those who are under the age of 15.

I did a lot of research on this, and it turns out that the sport seats are
higher than the cloth seats. So, you could potentially get one more inch of
clearance if you replaced the Jetta seats with the normal seats, but that's
going to be more expensive to retrofit.

My suggestion would simply be to consider a Passat V6 (since when all is
said and done retrofitting your Jetta will be as expensive, and you'll
still be able to use the space behind your seat in a Passat V6) or if
that's too rich for your blood, try a New Beetle, VR6. You lose two doors,
but the headroom is amazing.
