MISC. PROBLEMS! RANT EDITION!

Not to underscore this GLX, but this is the 1st VW I've owned and,
personally I haven't had this many "little" problems with a new car.
Firstly the interior lights (near the center console, heat switches, seats,
etc) are blown or just don't come on anymore, the windshield wipers ripped
almost off the blade, the hangers in the back above the door for
dressshirts/jackets broke, the belts under the hood SQUEAK VERY LOUDLY when
theres any moisture in the air, and then the other day, the frigin
passengers door wouldn't open. It would unlock but not open, not even
pushing it from the inside-out. The car has 14K and at this rate, will be
traded in at 15K. Ughh! these are simple things and don't necessarily
impede on the driveability of the car, its just frustrating when you pull
into a parking lot with this nice shiny new car and you turn your radio
down only to hear the whining from the belts and everyone turns their head
with scowered looks, rather than impressed looks. And as everyone knows,
just bringing the car to the dealer is a "PITA" especially in the Boston
Area. With help from the list, what if any of these might be under the 24
bumper/bumper warranty??? 

Other than these problems, the car runs mechanically sound. It hits 60 in
second then screams into the other lane going into 3rd, gotta hold on to
the wheel. Yes they are still stock GA's...
