ONe more thing. 40 watts per speaker is PLENTY. More than that in a
car cabin is useless, because you just don't "get" the music anymore.
Trying to push more power through a 7" speaker that has to fit into a
door frame is pointless.

This excludes bass specific amps, by the way. But, on that side,
120watts single phase off a active crossover pushing a deep cone into a
large air box gives you a nice tight bass range. The only problem at
that point is to get the moving air into your cabin from the trunk.
Jetta's (at least mine) have a nice pre-planned hole for the optional
ten-speaker system. Just cut those two holes out, get a grill, and
voila, insta ports.

Of course, all this doesn't count if you want the "block-rockin'
beats". Personally, i like to keep my music INSIDE my car. I'm really
not into to wagging my audio-penis at the homeboys. :)

Sundie... (all statements are IMHO)

(homeGIRLS maybe... Heh.)
