Re: States

yo...here I am representing for cali! born and raised Inglewood native.
I know that cali cars have differences in smog control devices. you car buy a car in cali and will not have any problems anywhere in the other states. but if you buy a car in Florida, and try and smog it in cali, most likely it will not pass and you usually have to take it to the dealer to get some type of smog control devise installed. that is what happened to my brother. I dont know about the post 95 cars, but it mostly is true for the pre 95 cars. I am not sure it this translates to hp differences, but I overheard someone on the list saying that the dealer told them that there stock jetta from the east cost was 178 hp, while mines is 172.5 from the factory.
anyone else had any experience like this?
