Thule makes the factory racks and they, the OEM racks, are no where near as
good as the normal Thule rack.  I am also a frequent bike rider, race 2-3
times a week, and I love my Thule rack.  Get the Jetta rack from Thule.  The
would seem that the sales person you talked with didn't have a clue because
I bought my rack from REI in Denver, CO.
 If you go to the Thule website you can probably even get the product
number.  REI did have to order mine but it only took a week to come in.
