I have had similar problems on several different fuel injected cars. 
Turned out to be water in the fuel tank, a water bubbles passing thru
the system was my guess. I put some "dry gas" in the tank and it went
away.  Even happened in the middle of the summer when I let the tank run
low and we had a cool evening.  Try it,  it is a cheap fix. Hope this
