Vendors and service...

I've been watching this thread now for the past couple of weeks on both
lists and I'm beginning to get frustrated at the incorrect notion that the
vendors of your favorite parts are trying to screw you guys over when it
comes to shipping parts.

OPEN YOUR EYES!! Do you honestly think that your current vendors (which
you would show no loyalty to anyway, given a $5 undercut by someone else)
are trying to NOT SELL YOU PARTS??? They place orders just like you do,
and are told when they would have the parts. Neuspeed Bilstien HD's have
been MIA since the spring, and the vendors are told for months they should
expect them in a few weeks. What do you want a company to tell you when
you place an order, "We won't see those 'til '98, do you still want them?"

Spax is in the middle of some corporate restructuring, Neuspeed is slow
delivering ALL of their parts and who knows about the status of the HD's.
In this world of "instant pudding," everyone wants everything NOW, and in
many cases this just isn't realistic. Think about how limited this VW VR6
market is and then realize that manufacturers are not making money breaking
their backs getting us parts, regardless of what you may think.

Understand that your "mail-order" parts sources are caught between you, the
customer, and the manufacturer (which rarely accurately tells them correct
product due dates), and they are at the mercy of both. Stop blaming
companies like t.h. motorsports, New Dimensions and Velocity for your parts
not being on your doorstep in 2 days. They can only get you the product
when they have it.

If you want your stuff tomorrow, find a car with huge market support, like
say... a honda.

BTW, am I the only one here that thinks taking off your suspension BEFORE
you have the replacement parts is not real smart?
