Re: help replacing the antenna cable



As I stated, I do have the adapter.  The problem is the shop I went to
spliced the cable and removed the factory plug.  I thought about just
adding the 12V to the cable, but thought that might not be so good for
my head unit.  I assume the adapter shields the head unit from the
voltage.  Also, the splice job is so ugly, that I'm sure it introduces
tons of noise.

Someone else mentioned the Bently manual.  I completely agree that
it's a wise way to go.  The Bently manual helped me several times on
my '89 GLi.  I am hoping, however, to get some advice / comments from
people who have had some of the interior parts out.  There's only so
much the Bently manuals can tell you compared to someone who's done it
and made simple mistakes to warn me about.
