     Some photos of the '98 Jetta are available on the net.  Frankly, I'm 
     glad I bought a '97:  I love the more disciplined look of the edges 
     and the high trunk of the '97.  The '98 looks a little wimpy, rounded 
     as is the fashion, like a Contour.  Once the wheel turns back to more 
     sharply defined autos, that classic Jetta will be back!
     
     That's my take on things.

is the 98 model year going to be a restyled body for the jetta or is it 
going to wait until 1999, does anyone know?  the redone passat looks sharp 
and distinct in the model line.  they have revamped the engines. 
dealerships, which do not select positively for intelligence, have no idea
