Re: It Will Be A Great Off-Season For Ainge If
A couple of problems here. First, why trade for Barry if you could just sign
him? Davis is already at the MLE salary level so Barry would have to be also.
But I assume you are saving the MLE for Nocioni. But then again you assuming
Barry also will sign for the MLE level. Why wouldn't he go somewhere else and
pick the MLE from them? Also, why do you think Danny could ink Nocioni instead
of any other team? What is the link between the Cs and Nocioni? If Nocioni is
that good and things were able to work that way, it sounds like a decent
plan. However, we aren't going to use first pick for a point guard....

free agent.
A Star could be born in the NBA, if Ainge can ink Nocioni, a great athlete
who can score, rebound, and pass from the small forward position
and shoots the 3-ball at 40 percent.
- Trades Ricky Davis for Brent Barry.
Right! With the Star-to-be Nocioni, Pierce, and Jiri, there's no need
for Ricky Davis, so you can ship him off to Seattle for Barry in a
sign-and-trade.
Barry - Pierce - Nocioni - LaFrentz - Mihm ~ Not bad at all!
- Maneuvers the Celtics into position to draft the Isiah-like Sebastian
Telfair and
a PF type such as Chris Taft, Uros Slokar, LaMarcus Aldridge, Randolph
Morris,
etc.
Ye gods, exactly. Telfair has that Isiah PG-Magic to him. He's sneaky evil
and a pure PG, who if it weren't for the destructive Atkins trade, the
Celtics
would be in perfect position to draft him. Instead, now they're going to
have
to trade up.
They can nab a lanky PF prospect with their second or third first-rounder:
Slokar - Morris - Turiaf - Torrin Francis (though his offense is very raw),
Dusan Sakota, Varejao, or Al Jefferson, who's not lanky but a great
scorer/rebounder.
