Re: wolves game

>>>>>>>I went to the Bulls-Sixers game on Saturday and those two teams are
awful. I was amazed at how few of the players seemed to try or even
care. You could definitely see the effects of long-term guaranteed
contracts. Eddy Curry could be a beast. He was dominant in the first
half (20 points) and then disappeared (bad conditioning). If he puts
his mind to it, he could be unguardable. <<<<<<<<<<

***And that's the problem Bulls management faces. How long do you wait for a
player to "put his mind to it"? This is Curry's third year. He has his hand
out for a big payday, should the Bulls give it to him? If they don't someone
will because that's the way the NBA works. Every team always thinks they can
be the team to turn potential into gold. (See Vin Baker pre and post Celtics.)
So the Bulls are stuck between paying a guy money that he hasn't earned and
may never earn, or trading him to a team that might, just might, be able to
make him see the light and then listen to their fans howl when he becomes an
All-star. Tough call.

>>>Also, I hate to say this but
Hinrich is for real. He always had his head up and made the extra pass
every time. Danny should get this guy somehow, he would be perfect for
what the Celtics want to run. <<<<<<<<

**Which is exactly what I tried to tell you all. Everybody who loves Jiri
would love Kirk because he does almost everything Jiri does, just as well, some
things better, but he's also a true point guard which Jiri is not. His one
knock right now is his inability to finish around the basket. He just gets
pushed around too much and being a rookie he doesn't get any calls.
But why would you hate to say it? Come on Ryan, its not that hard.
Everyone is wrong every once in a while.
Someone a few weeks back said that Kirk couldn't be all that good or we would
be hearing more about him. But this isn't your fathers NBA. Kirk has been
playing fantastic, fundamental basketball for some time now but it took him
throwing one down on Ilgauskas and out playing James for a win before he got any
love from ESPN. James by the way still got a full 10 minutes of hype time on
NBA Fastbreak after that game while Kirk got all of two highlights. That's
what's wrong with the NBA.
Kirk was just picked as the Bulls player of the month. That makes two months
in a row. Not bad for a rookie huh?

BTW, glad to see the Celtics with a little fight back in them. I was
beginning to think O'Brien took it all when he left. Six in a row? Who'd a thunk?
