Re: Timing - distraction but future hope?

>And remember Bob Ryan's dissing of Grousbeck et al? Well the new
owners, before a sprinkling of common sense was sifted into their
naive heads, were actually prepared to have their very own trustworthy
Steve Pagliuca placed in charge of the draft/trade decisions in lieu of
inking a new head of operations guy.

Oh come on Eggy. Your kidding right?

You think the guys who put together $360 Mil to buy the team, without anyone
in Boston or the NBA even knowing about it, are somehow "naive" and needed
to hear from Bob Ryan the right way to run a NBA team?

That they should let someone else make the draft picks instead of them using
their own analytical skills, because which Celtic front office basketball
guy has shown that you need to be an employee instead of an owner in the NBA
to make a viable pick? Two of the last 10-11 picks are even still with the
team. If they used a blindfold and a dart the odds were better then letting
Red and Wallace pick again.

The only one's who know when they contacted Ainge about the job are the
owners and Ainge. Ryan? Please.

Don't bet against these guys. They're sharks who can keep a secret.
