Even More Info

- Bruno is back. He exercised his player's option.

- Wyc the owner says via Howard Bryant (Herald pay column) that the
difference between San Antonio and New Jersey and the Celtics is
the number of easy baskets those teams produce; the Celtics work too
hard for their baskets; those clubs get easy baskets on fast breaks.
Wyc further states the Celtics are "retooling" not "rebuilding".
Howard says it appears the Celtics via Wyc's comments "know what
they need" and their bombs away style and lack of a penetrating PG
have led to the present difficulties and non-championship contending
status.

All well and good Howard and Wyc, but the Spurs and Nets have
quality Big People and the Celtics don't. Battie and Walker just
don't cut it as defenders, especially Walker.

- Chris Thomas is heading back to Notre Dame.

- Chris Wallace, it can be revealed, made a promise to
Tony Parker to draft him with the 21st pick in 2001 draft.
So, it's pretty amusing to hear Wallace talk about keeping promises.

- Okay, let's say the Celtics draft Banks at 16. What then at 20?
As Wyc and Steve have said, a PG or Rebounder but not both.

Options be:

- Travis Hansen from BYU: Star of the combine and a more athletic
Brent Barry type.
- Hoping that Pavlovic slips.
- Trade for a future pick.
- Zaur Pachulia, who I think is pretty good and at 6-11, 260,
should be able to play center.
- Victor Khyrapa, who is very good.
- Jarvis Hayes
- Trade down into the second round for a couple of picks
and go after players like Rick Rickert, Erazem Lorbek, Luke
Walton, Chris Marcus, Britten Johnsen, Kristaps Valters,
Wayne Wallace, Pacellis Morlende, James Lang, Kedrick Perkins,
Mario Austin, Slavco Vranes, Tommy Smith, Jerome Beasley,
Troy Bell, Szymon Szewczyk, Boyko Mladenov, and Uche Nsonwu.
